Workplaces are not devoid of the need for people to have someone outside their setting to discuss personal matters or deal with situations, people or crises that require the expertise of experienced health professionals.
The Workplace Support Service offered here entails counselling support, quick and early response to critical incidents of any nature or perceived seriousness, follow up to these incidences as well as training and consulting regarding matters related to mental health. Managers and leaders also can access the support and insight of health professionals for an informed external voice to their everyday difficult situations.
This service is a boutique service tailored to the needs of every different organisation or group where the initial response will always be immediately from a health professional and not a call centre. Marcel collaborates with a group of other experienced and qualified health professionals who all have a minimum ten years’ experience.
Of particular note is the training suite which involves the delivery of Mental Health First Aid training www.mhfa.com.au. Further training and related consultancy involves the topics of:
- Mental Health First Aid and working with different disorders
- Drugs and alcohol
- Boundaries and professional relationships
- Positive psychology
- Dealing with abuse, harassment and misuse of power
- Dealing with challenging behaviours
- Self-care and building resilience
- Critical incident response
